WiMAX software upgrade ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 14 October 2007 MWEB has upgraded their WiMAX network by performing a software upgrade, resulting in ‘…significant performance improvements’ (MWEB upgrades WiMax network, MyBroadband, 11 October 2007).
This will come as good news to MWEB’s existing WiMAX trial customers as well as those ‘…who were not initially successful as trialists due to poor coverage and throughput’ (MWEB upgrades WiMax network, MyBroadband, 11 October 2007).
In other words, the WiMAX network upgrade not only improved performance significantly but also opened the door for the inclusion of a wider audience. |
