WiFi: WirelessG partners with Skyrove to expand footprint

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 26 September 2010

Internet Access Provider, WirelessG, has partnered with WiFi Hotspot Provider, Skyrove, in order to expand their WiFi footprint in South Africa.

Perfect sense…

The partnership between WirelessG and Skyrove makes perfect sense, especially if one considers that WirelessG has a substantial subscriber base to bring to the table while Skyrove can offer access to the largest community owned WiFi network in South Africa.

It’s after all no secret that Skyrove makes it easy for almost anyone to set up WiFi hotspots of their own in South Africa. The WiFi hotspots set up with the help of Skyrove have grown to an impressive community network of well over 1800 WiFi hotspots set up across South Africa. This is most definitely beneficial to WirelessG WiFi subscribers. They now have WiFi access in other places beside SA's main cities or metropolitan areas. WirelessG has made it clear that their ultimate goal is to provide subscribers with WiFi access wherever they go in South Africa. Needless to say, the partnership is a step in the right direction.

In other words, given the above, the partnership between Wireless G and Skyrove has clear benefits to all the parties involved.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) welcomes the partnership between WirelessG and Skyrove, especially if one considers that it has taken us one step closer to a telecoms regime where WiFi connectivity is available wherever it’s needed in South Africa.
