Why is Neotel not listening to Braam
Dupper?
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 12 December
2009
NeoConnect Prime subscriber, Braam Dupper, has
lodged a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA) against Neotel but the
complaint was dismissed. ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) like many other however feel that Neotel
is not listening to Braam Dupper, despite what may seem as a victory for
Neotel.
Data usage
tracking…
Let’s leave the specific radio ad out of the
equation and look at the real issue which is difficulty in tracking one’s data (bandwidth) usage if you’re a
NeoConnect Prime subscriber.
The above becomes clear if one looks at
Dupper’s argument that “the only way to get your data usage is to call the respondent’s call centre, and the
call centre takes days to revert with figures.”
In other words, it’s as clear as hell that the
only way to check your data usage if you’re a NeoConnect Prime subscriber is to go through the Neotel call
centre, which take their royal time to revert with figures/stats.
