Web Africa passes on ADSL price savings

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 27 July 2007

Web Africa has passed on ADSL price savings in a bid to make Internet access cheaper in South Africa. ADSL users “…will be able to benefit from some of the lowest ADSL prices in local history, with prices starting at R149 per month” (Web Africa slashes ADSL prices, ICTWorld, 20 July 2007).

“From August, Telkom will reduce its line rental prices” (Web Africa slashes ADSL prices, ICTWorld, 20 July 2007). “Instead of maintaining our rates and increasing our profits, we have passed on the saving to our customers so they can enjoy cheaper Internet access” (Web Africa slashes ADSL prices, ICTWorld, 20 July 2007). This is according to Matthew Tagg, Managing Director of Web Africa.

In other words, Web Africa is doing their bit to make life a lot easier on the ADSL side.

To which Web Africa ADSL packages do the price cuts apply?

ADSL Complete package.

‘The price cuts apply to Web Africa’s ADSL Complete package, which offers customers ADSL lines along with their access accounts in one package. This means that customers no longer need to go through the protracted process of applying for ADSL lines from Telkom, saving time and money…’ (Web Africa slashes ADSL prices, ICTWorld, 20 July 2007).

In other words, you can cut Telkom out of the ADSL picture and save money by subscribing to Web Africa’s one price ADSL package.

What about set-up costs?

No initial set-up costs.

‘Customers also benefit from the bonus of no initial set-up costs’ (Web Africa slashes ADSL prices, ICTWorld, 20 July 2007).

In other words, no initial set-up costs to stop you from enjoying ADSL Internet access.
