Vox Telecom storms VoIP market ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 14 October 2007 South African telecoms provider, Vox Telecom, will pay R360m for telephony services provider Storm. It is no secret that Vox Telecom wants to better its standing in the VoIP telephony market.
‘The acquisition will be part of Vox Telecom's strategy to improve its positioning in the VoIP telephony market and augment Vox's corporate customer base profile and market share’ (Vox to buy Storm for R360m, I-Net Bridge, 10 October 2007). Furthermore: Storm ‘…is an excellent fit with Vox Telecom's existing businesses’ (Vox to buy Storm for R360m, I-Net Bridge, 10 October 2007).
In other words, the acquisition of Storm by Vox Telecom makes perfect sense. |
