Uncapped ADSL Broadband: Calls at SATNAC to stop providing ‘uncapped adsl’

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 16 September 2010

More than one speaker at the annual SATNAC conference at the Spier Estate in Stellenbosch have called for the abolishment of Uncapped ADSL Broadband Packages. The main reason being given in support of such a move is that ADSL Broadband Providers are not able to profit from high-end ADSL Broadband users (‘bandwidth hogs’).

Shame on them…

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) has mentioned in more than one instance that the selling of ADSL Broadband Packages which are "capped" in the disguise of being ‘uncapped’ should be banned, especially where punitive measures are being deployed against high-end users (‘bandwidth hogs’) of such packages. However, true Uncapped ADSL Broadband Packages should not be confused with the latter.
