A brave step…ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is happy that Telkom recently took the brave step to get rid of its stake in Vodacom. It is no secret that Telkom risked a substantial portion of their revenue stream for the opportunity to run a cellular service of their own, but maybe more importantly, to help level the telecoms playing field in South Africa.
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is happy to see that Telkom is pressing ahead with their cellular service plans. We wish them all the best in building a cellular network that will be large enough to have a positive effect on the cellular or mobile market in South Africa.
