Can we expect to see a stand-alone mobile offering?

No.

South African consumers can expect to see a Telkom mobile package that consists of a combination of mobile and fixed-line services such as ADSL Broadband. It’s about combining the best of both worlds, or to be more specific, to combine the best mobile and fixed-line broadband technologies can offer.

In other words, Telkom is planning to include a combination of both mobile and fixed-line services in their mobile offering, in order to compete in terms of the value offered, instead of competing on a one-to-one basis by duplicating the offerings of existing mobile broadband providers.
