It will not surprise us, if regulations allow it, that Cell C will become a target of either MTN or Neotel or that MTN becomes a target of Neotel. Neotel might even end up with a big slice of both Cell C and MTN in hand. This might be a crazy notion at best, because it’s always difficult to say with absolute certainty what’s going to happen next, but we believe anything is possible at this stage. MTN might even go after Neotel. Ok, that’s a bit far fetched but it’s still exciting to speculate about possibilities.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) was hoping that MTN would cripple the giant and that Vodacom would finally be free from the giant’s grip, but it seems that all hope of that is lost, at least for now.
