Allowed to continue placing
obstacles...
The fact that the infamous
Minister of Communications, Ivy
Matsepe-Casaburri, is allowed to continue placing obstacles in the way of a telecoms revolution in South Africa
is but a single example of a party that has not only lost touch with us, the Average Joes, but also with
reality. It is beyond contemplation that she and her gang are allowed to continue restricting the free flow of
that part of an economy’s life blood which can be deemed as vital, namely affordable telecoms solutions.
In times of economic distress, like we’re experiencing now, it’s of increased
importance that companies have access to affordable and quality telecoms solutions. This will not only help to
give South African companies a competitive edge in the global market, but will also help to minimize the impact
of a severe economic downturn on South Africans and their families.
It is clear from the above that Telkom and the ANC needs to get their houses in order. They
do not only place at risk the livelihoods of thousands of ordinary South Afrians, but also place at risk the
future of South Africa as a country where one can live in peace and prosperity.
ADSL South Africa
(Broadband South Africa) is like many South Africans, deeply concerned about the current state of affairs in
South Africa. Rand weakness over the last couple of weeks is evident of the fact that market players are
increasingly getting uneasy about the state of affairs.
