ADSL South Africa - Telecoms Action Group
(TAG)
The Telecoms Action Group (TAG) was founded in
2006 by Richard Frank and Alastair Otter with the specific aim to launch an advertising campaign
to highlight the fact that SA is plagued with unacceptably high telecoms costs.
TAG's first anti-Telkom ad was
published in the Mail & Guardian of Friday the 19th of January
2007...

The above ad was paid by 200 plus contributors, people who had enough
of Telkom's reign of terror, in a step that was earmarked as
the first of many steps that would be taken to highlight the unacceptably high costs of telecoms in SA. An
amount of over R60 000 was raised by TAG at the time, and after the above ad was paid, the founders promised to
put the remaining money to good use in the fight against high telecoms costs in SA.
