TAG closing in on target

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 15 October 2006

The Telecoms Action Group (TAG) is closing in on its target of R50 000 for a nationwide advertising campaign. TAG was recently launched in protest of high prices and poor service deliverance in the local telecoms sector.

TAG is currently R3 750 short of the R50 000 mark although pledges are standing at an astonishing R76 200. This means that R26 000 still needs to be paid into their bank account. A publication deadline for more or less the end of October necessitate that parties who made pledges stick to their promises by making sure the monies pledged are paid in time.

A full-page advertisement planned in the Mail & Guardian will bring a strong message of telecoms reform to thousands of South Africans out there while providing an advertising platform for TAG supporters.
