Is the MWEB dial-up connection really free?

Yes, except for the cost of the dial-up calls.

Self-install ADSL subscribers will get a dial-up connection free of charge from MWEB as far as the subscription costs are of a concern, but will have to pay for the dial-up calls which is fair.

In other words, while you will have to pay for your dial-up calls as a self-install ADSL subscriber, there will not be any dial-up subscription fees to pay when you choose MWEB as your ADSL Broadband Provider (while you are waiting on Telkom to process your application).
