Threat to the successful hosting of the Soccer World
Cup…
ISPA ‘…has warned that the government’s stance threatens the
successful broadcasting of the Soccer World Cup’ (Neotel stands its ground on cable rights, Stones, Business
Day, 12 November 2007). Brooks made it clear that “should the government continue to place arbitrary and
ill-advised restrictions on investment in communications it is very doubtful that the country will have
sufficient bandwidth available for 2010” (Neotel stands its ground on cable rights, Stones, Business Day, 12
November 2007).
In other words, we will not be able to host a successful Soccer
World Cup in 2010 if Ivy Matsepe Casaburry doesn’t stop fooling around.
