SEACOM on schedule ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 24 May 2009 ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) believes the SEACOM undersea cable project has so far being a tremendous success. This is especially true if one considers that it is the only cable project in this part of the world that’s on schedule.
SEACOM construction finished… Great news is that construction on SEACOM, which is an undersea fiber-optic cable system, has finished on time as planned. What remains are testing that will commence in early June and after that the system will go operational by the end of June. This means that we can start looking forward to pay less for bandwidth in just more than a month’s time. SEACOM’s ultimate success… SEACOM’s ultimate success is however dependant on more than one variable, of which the attitude of ISPs, especially that of Neotel, form a central part. |
