SEACOM making progress
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South
Africa), 9 November 2008
SEACOM, one of the undersea cable systems, which is
destined to change the South African telecoms market, is making progress considering that the landing station in
Mozambique is ready for the docking of the SEACOM
cable.
This must comes as good news to ADSL and other broadband users in South Africa who
are hoping to pay much less for broadband Internet access or bandwidth in the coming months. The fact that
Telkom and other players have dropped their data prices with
up to 80% is a sure sign that they expect fireworks coming from SEACOM and other undersea cable systems in the
coming months and years.
