Telkom’s ADSL rates officially took a nosedive earlier this month while the prices of other services such as analogue line rental increased. This comes after Telkom announced planned ADSL price reductions earlier this year.

We are happy to see that Telkom kept at least one promise this year…

The following price drops came into effect on the 1st of August:

  • 38%  drop in access price of DSL 384 to R152 .
  • 10%  drop in access price of DSL 512 to R326 .
  • 20%  drop in access price of 4 Mbps to R413.

In other words, average price drops of over 20% came into effect on the 1st of August (excluded Do Broadband products prices).

Any ADSL price reductions on Telkom’s Do Broadband products (which include both the ADSL access and ISP usage charges)?
