Plugg ADSL: New ADSL service

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 21 September 2008

Internet Solutions (IS) has recently launched a new ADSL service called Plugg ADSL. ADSL users in South Africa have so far labelled Plugg ADSL as expensive and complicated.

It is clear that if one listens to Internet Solutions that the idea with Plugg ADSL is to cater to the unique needs of individual consumers, or in simpler terms, cater to us the Average Joes. Despite flexibility of payment offered by a pay-as-you-go model, Internet Solutions (IS) has so far in reality achieved the exact opposite with Plugg ADSL. The Plugg ADSL offering do not only come over as expensive when compared to the low end ADSL offerings of competitors, but also unnecessarily complicated. Both features that can simply not go down well when it comes to catering to the needs of the Average Joes who want low cost solutions that’s easy to understand.

The long and the short of it is that Plugg ADSL simply falls short of expectations despite IS’s best intentions. Be sure to visit MyADSL for a more comprehensive take on Plugg ADSL in terms of pricing, et cetera.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) really hopes IS responds positively to these criticisms because any move to hide these facts will ultimately only lead to consumer backlash and the end of Plugg ADSL.
