Neotel flexing muscle

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 3 August 2008

Neotel is flexing muscle if one considers that the Second National Operator (SNO) has managed to sign up close to half of South Africa’s top 350 corporate clients in contracts totaling about R1.5 billion.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is delighted to see that ‘the new kid on the block’ is flexing and building muscle in the way it does despite heavy competition coming from the likes of Internet Solutions, Verizon SA and Telkom in the corporate market. Neotel has already spent a considerable amount (R2 billion) to roll out fiber optic and wireless networks of their own. Networks that are currently used and expanded to grab even larger chunks of Telkom’s fixed-line revenues for one. It is not surprising that Neotel is planning to spend R11 billion over the next 10 years to establish a foothold across South Africa.
