ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is of the opinion that Neotel is ‘taking the piss’ despite assurances by Imran Abbas, Executive Head of Neotel’s Business Support Services (NBSS), that they “…are not going to be selling services to these countries.” Yeah right, especially considering the following Abbas said: “Our priority remains South Africa and we have already made tremendous strides in connecting the five metros and will next focus on growing the network across the rest of South Africa.”

In other words, according to Neotel, South Africa remains their priority and they have made great progress in growing their network in the five metros, but we the average Joes must bare with them while they expand and complete their network outside South Africa first, before focusing on growing their network across the rest of South Africa. This while it’s clear that there is still a HUGE lack of Neotel coverage even within the five metros in South Africa.
