Neotel: CFO back at work ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 19 October 2008 Neotel’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Arun Gupta, was cleared and is now back at work. This comes after he was suspended in September this year on charges of “improper conduct.”
Cleared of misconduct but many questions remain… An independent investigation has cleared Gupta of any misconduct but many questions are left unanswered in the public sphere. For example: Was the charge of “improper conduct” related to financial matters or not and how independent was the investigation? Neotel remains silent in regards to the nature of the charges and has so far failed to reveal any intrinsic details of the investigation,except to inidicatethat Gupta was cleared, and that Neotel executives have chosen to deal with the matter behind closed doors. |
