More ISPs join the party
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 30
November 2009
It is evident from recent days and weeks that
more and more ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are starting to join the ‘broadband price cut party.’ It
seems like we’re finally seeing a sharp decline, not only in the price of ADSL Broadband, but also in the price of Wireless Internet Access if one considers iBurst’s latest price
cuts.

furious…
Broadband price cuts, especially ADSL
Broadband price cuts, are starting to filter through ‘fast and furious’ if one considers the aggressive price
cuts by ISPs such as DigiChilli, Screamer Telecoms, MyISP and iBurst.
DigiChilli
This relatively new ISP has launched
an uncapped ADSL Broadband offering with an ADSL line speed of 256Kbps for R300
per month. This is 40% lower in price than their R500 product, and
almost identical in features, except for the fact that it only offers one concurrent or simultaneous
connection. This is however not too bad if one considers that there are no thresholds, rolling download
windows, etc.
