More ADSL for gaming options

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 29 December 2009

More ADSL products designed for online gaming are surfacing as ISPs are starting to make use of their own networks. This will definitely be welcomed by online gamers, especially by those who are looking to pay less for gaming bandwidth.

Increased competition…

Competition for the hearts and minds of online gamers is heating up quite nicely if one considers the ADSL products designed for online gaming offered by the likes of Telkom, Web Africa and iBurst.

Telkom

Telkom Internet offers ADSL products or accounts that offer free local bandwidth (10Gb-30GB). This is ideal for local online gaming, especially for gamers that want to save on the cost of bandwidth. Unfortunately, online gamers that are dependent on Telkom Internet for gaming bandwidth, have to content with the fact that free local bandwidth only applies after they’ve reached their ADSL caps. This sucks if one considers that Web Africa for one doesn’t count gaming bandwidth towards one’s monthly ADSL cap, which definitely makes Web Africa the better option in that regard.
