Mobile Interconnect Rates: What's all the noise about? ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 25 October 2009 The DoC (Department of Communications) has recently issued a policy direction on ‘Mobile Termination Rates’ with the intention to see these rates come down to cost-based levels, all in a bid to reduce the cost of telecoms in South Africa, but is this really their primary intention?
Psychological warfare... ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) won’t blame any of our fellow Average Joes for feeling a bit confused and disorientated due to all the noise that have been and are being made about mobile interconnection or mobile interconnect rates in South Africa. In all honesty, it all borders to psychological warfare, pretty much the same as when “noise bombs” are being deployed during a time of war. |
