Mobile Broadband: Vodacom’s ‘Night Owl’ offering sucks ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 19 July 2010 Vodacom has launched a ‘Night Owl’ offering which is targeted at their broadband advanced contract customers, but we feel it’s not something to write home about. Getting 1GB ‘free’ for every 1GB purchased sounds great, but it’s definitely not great if one is only allowed to use the ‘free’ gigs during the ungodly hours of the morning.
Don’t get locked in… ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is of the opinion that Vodacom’s lame ‘Night Owl’ offering is only designed to get Mobile Broadband users to lock themselves into long-term contracts with Vodacom, especially if one considers that it’s only aimed at broadband advanced contract customers. |
