Do people have valid reasons for accusing Mashile of mismanagement and inefficiency?

They certainly do if one deals in reality instead of getting lost in empty babbling...

Let’s look at a few other facts:

  • ‘Fourteen senior managers have already left the ‘party’ since January because of interference in their duties and Paris Mashile’s (Chairman of ICASA) leadership failures’ (Icasa – Wolf in sheep’s clothing, ADSL South Africa, 29 June 2006) – Is it possible that the 14 senior managers resigned just because Mr. Mashile had a bad hair day? No, we don’t think so.
  • Scandal where councillors of ICASA illegally took it upon themselves to participate in the activities of stakeholders in the ICT sector  (Icasa – Wolf in sheep’s clothing, ADSL South Africa, 29 June 2006) – Did this not happen on Mr. Mashile’s clock?
  • Mashile contacted the NIA (National Intelligence Agency) earlier this year “to conduct an investigation on the leaks at Icasa” (Icasa – What a joke, ADSL South Africa, 11 July 2006) – Of course, Mr. Mashile didn’t want the 14 senior managers that resigned to give the real reasons behind their departure. ADSL South Africa is convinced that the NIA will actually do more good in regard to public safety in South Africa by removing Mashile from his position.
  • ‘The new ADSL regulations drafted by ICASA (Independent Communications Authority of SA) that were published in Government Gazette No.29141 are likely to stifle competition further’ (Icasa stifles competition, ADSL South Africa, 20 August 2006) – “This is where the real issue is. The only way consumers will get better services is through competition, and these regulations hamper competition” (Geoff Rehmet, IS’ new business development manager). Why didn’t we address the issue of pricing first Mr. Mashile? No, it’s better to make a killing by going for the smaller ISPs instead or make retarded remarks in regard to ADSL pricing, right?

Well, we sure you get the idea and why we feel so passionately about the fact that you should resign Mr. Mashile. Please don’t waste our time or money any further. We South Africans want to spend more time with our families rather than to waste it on the likes of you.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) hopes that Mr. Mashile will give all decent South Africans a well-deserved New Year’s present by resigning before the 1 of January 2007. Mr. Mashile, this is your chance to make a positive change before you go down in history as just another empty babbler pretending to be decent, pretending to be a real leader.

To all decent South Africans: We wish you the very best for 2007. May 2007 be the year we bring the fight even closer to the ones that are out to cheat you out of a good life.
