• Higher usage limits – Neotel has made it clear that they will address the issue of low usage limits in their consumer offerings. In other words, we can expect that they will offer us higher usage limits in terms of bandwidth usage, etc.

• Fresh and growing – Neotel can be described as ‘fresh and growing’ while it’s difficult to say the same of Telkom. Telkom can be described as a ‘huge old ship, filled with old and rotting cargo, which takes a considerable time to turn in any given direction.’ ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) believes Neotel is in a better position than Telkom when it comes to the ability to respond to rapid changes in the South African telecoms market. Neotel has already managed to get business of R1bn in the company’s first year of operation.

In other words, consumers in South Africa should support Neotel instead of Telkom simply because Neotel has potentially more to offer in terms of customer support, etc.
