IS upgrades bandwidth ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 7 October 2007 Well known South African ISP, Internet Solutions (IS), ‘…will upgrade its international bandwidth to 2Gbps, providing faster connectivity to its customers’ (IS ups its international bandwidth, MyBroadband, 4 October 2007).
This will come as good news to IS customers, who like the majority of broadband users in South Africa, will never complain about an Internet connection being too fast. Business Unit Manager of Access Solutions at IS, Alan Bacher, made the intention behind their move to upgrade their international bandwidth clear: “Having increased our international bandwidth by 843 Mbps over the last 12 months, and with current bandwidth at over 1.7 Gbps, we need to keep ahead of demand” (IS ups its international bandwidth, MyBroadband, 4 October 2007). |
