iBurst signs another deal

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 19 November 2006

In the past weeks we have seen iBurst signing deals with parties such as MWEB , Altech Autopage Cellular and others and still there’s no end to it. The latest deal include @lantic Internet Services that’s part of the DataPro Group.

More and more South Africans prefer wireless broadband over ADSL broadband mostly because they’re aiming to end Telkom’s undue influence in their lives and because of the high costs of fixed line telecoms. This has forced iBurst to expand its distribution network in order to satisfy the every increasing demand for wireless broadband.

According to Thami Mtshali, CEO of iBurst, “iBurst currently has a subscriber base of almost 30 000 and this has the potential to grow significantly with our partnership with DataPro and @lantic. iBurst’s expertise in wireless technologies combined with our partners’ range of Internet and data solutions will ensure a mutually viable relationship.”

@lantic with its more than 200 franchises and 700 additional service partners will provide an excellent additional distribution network and has already proven to be one of iBurst’ top resellers especially during the last 4 months. “We believe that iBurst adds a much needed and valuable weapon to our franchisees’ selling arsenal. The unique selling proposition we offer is our countrywide distribution network, making it possible for us to reach more subscribers faster than any other consumer ISP” (Dederick Venter, Marketing Manager of @lantic).

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa)
welcomes news of the latest deal because it should help a great deal in bringing more and better broadband options to more South Africans out there.
