iBurst bursting ahead

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 14 July 2007

The number of iBurst subscribers shot up from 12 000 to almost 45 000 during the past year. iBurst’s partnership with Vodacom and their low-cost offerings are certainly helping to fuel this impressive growth.

Is more growth expected?

Yes.

‘…they are planning to reach a target of 70 000 subscribers by February 2008’ (iBurst grows, MyBroadband, 4 July 2007).

In other words, iBurst is expecting to add 25 000 subscribers to its subscriber base by February 2008.

Is iBurst over optimistic?

No.

‘The successful partnership with Vodacom - which according to iBurst is steadily growing their sales and is giving them added visibility – should make this an easily achievable target’ (iBurst grows, MyBroadband, 4 July 2007).

In other words, iBurst is confident that it will achieve the 70 000 target easily because of the successful partnership with Vodacom.

Can we expect to see new offerings coming from iBurst’s side?

Yes.

‘iBurst is also currently testing a new 2 Mbps offering, and promised news about a possible speed improvement by the end of the year’ (iBurst grows, MyBroadband, 4 July 2007).

In other words, we can expect to see faster better offerings coming from iBurst’s side.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) wishes iBurst the best of luck in reaching the 70 000 subscriber target.
