Higher speeds, higher usage limits and value-added products ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 5 April 2009 Telkom ADSL users will welcome the fact that Telkom is planning to introduce higher speeds, higher usage limits and value-added products towards the end of the year. This comes after a long dry period where Telkom’s ADSL pricing and almost everything else stayed the same.
ADSL price cuts not ruled out…While Telkom will largely focus on higher speeds, higher usage limits and value-added products, it doesn’t mean that ADSL price cuts will be ruled out. This is encouraging considering that broadband prices are expected to drop by 50%+ when the Seacom undersea cable goes live later this year. Telkom will not want to be stuck in a situation where ADSL users deem their services to be ridiculously high-priced in comparison to that of their competitors. |
