What about ADSL price cuts for
lower-end ADSL users?
Unfortunately, according to Web
Africa, lower-end ADSL
Broadband users making use of Web Africa’s ADSL Broadband service will not see any
price cuts this time around.
Despite the above, ADSL South Africa
(Broadband South Africa) is of the opinion that it is just a matter of time before Web Africa will also give
lower-end ADSL Broadband users more reason to smile. The reason being is the fact that Matthew Tagg, Founder
and MD (Managing Director) of Web Africa, is very passionate about ADSL Broadband if one considers that he
believes ADSL Broadband is the technology with the most long term promise. He for one will not sit idle in an
ADSL Broadband market that’s starting to heat up nicely for us the Average Joes, especially after players such
as Vox Telepreneur, WirelessG and Club Connect (Edgars) have already lower the cost of ADSL Broadband for
lower-end ADSL Broadband users. We believe Web Africa is waiting to see what larger competitors like
Cybersmart are going to pull out of the hat before responding with ADSL Broadband price cuts for lower-end
ADSL Broadband users.
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South
Africa) is happy about the fact that Web Africa has lowered the cost of ADSL Broadband for high-end ADSL
Broadband users to R49 per GB.
