'Wayward' Hayward
resigns
ADSL
South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 11 June
2007
Another Telkom executive has resigned. Managing
Executive of Retail Marketing at Telkom, Steven Hayward, has
left the telecoms giant after 12 years of service.
‘Hayward was appointed Managing
Executive: Business and Key Markets in December 2005 under then
CEO Papi Molotsane and was mainly responsible for management of
the retail revenue stream’ (Another Telkom executive resigns,
MyADSL, 7 June 2007).
In other words, Hayward’s job at
Telkom was to get the average Joe like you and me on board the
Telkom ship (through any means possible including… well, let’s
rather stop there).
Who’s going to replace
Hayward?
We don’t know yet but…
‘Erna Korff has taken Hayward’s
place as acting Managing Executive’ (Another Telkom executive
resigns, MyADSL, 7 June 2007).
In other words, Erna Korff will
help out in the mean time.
ADSL South Africa (Broadband
South Africa) welcomes the resignation of Hayward. He helped to
build a Telkom many South Africans
despise.
