GOAL - Welcome new entry in ADSL ISP arena

GOAL Technology Solutions or GTS has entered the ADSL ISP arena with very affordable offerings ranging from 5GB to 20GB accounts. GTS provides broadband and internet services to end-users.

They have caught most ISPs with their pants down with a pricing model that provides savings of up to 50%. For instance their 5GB ADSL account will cost you a low R228 per month in comparison to Telkom Internet’s standard offering of 3GB at R249. Their best offering is 20GB at R648 in comparison to similar offerings at R1300 on average. Their 5GB-10GB accounts is available on a month to month basis while 15GB and upward are only available on a 24 month contract. They also offer a dial up solution at a low R52 per month

According to Matthew Tagg (WebAfrica MD) “the pricing from GTS is very competitive and that it will be interesting to establish how they are able to provide such an affordable service” (MyADSL). Tagg also said that “even with overselling it is not financially feasible for ISP’s to offer similar prices using the current Telkom ADSL pricing model as GTS” (MyADSL).

We really hope that they can keep it up and that others will follow suit.
