'Forex hell' at FNB Sandton City ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 26 October 2008 An unstable Telkom Broadband Internet connection is causing havoc at FNB Forex in Sandton City. The problem started about 3 weeks ago and despite the efforts of Telkom technicians things are still not back to normal.
Long queues, slow applications, booking errors… It is no secret that month end at most banks, including FNB (First National Bank), can be trying for most of us and is normally characterized by long queues. Long queues are however unheard of at banks towards the middle of the month (and slightly beyond) because most of us who work for a living only get paid at month end. The picture at FNB Forex in Sandton City can therefore safely be described as a ‘Forex hell’ because the long queues have started long before month end, leaving both FNB customers and Foreign Exchange Consultants frustrated. |
