3.6 Mbps HSDPA officially launched

MTN and Vodacom have officially launched 3.6 Mbps High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) services of their own. MTN is the first mobile provider in South Africa to officially launch such a service.

The proverbial ink on the paper in regard to a previous news update was not even dry when both MTN and Vodacom officially launched their 3.6 Mbps HSDPA services as promised, an indication that concerns in regard to a lack of backhaul bandwidth capacity have moved to the background.
