'Fast, deadly ADSL'

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 1 June 2008

The Canadian company, Genesis Technical Systems or GTS, has developed new broadband technology that promises ADSL speeds of up to 400 Mbps and at a much lower cost than alternatives such as fiber.

The BDR or bonded DSL rings technology will come as good news to ADSL users worldwide who are hoping to break speed records or at least surf the net at more superior speeds. The heading ‘Fast, deadly ADSL’ is a misnomer because ADSL is not ‘deadly’ but definitely ‘fast’ when compared to the likes of dial-up, etc. It must be the late influence of one of the Doom TV ads, where this Mexican guy pulls a fast one on an annoying buzzing fly with ‘fast, deadly Doom,’ that are now starting to surface. Despite this, we decided to leave the heading as is because our visitors, the Average Joes, are like us smart enough to make the speed connection.

We will leave the details to the likes of MyBroadband and just leave you with the thought that ADSL technology that offers much faster speeds are a thing of the present.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) welcomes the latest ADSL technology despite the fact that it will take a while to land in South Africa.
