Eskom outdone even Telkom

South African energy supplier, Eskom, which generates 95% of the electricity in South Africa, has outdone even South African telecoms giant Telkom. This comes after several power outages have already caused considerable damage to the South African economy, and if the severe power outages continue, it will surely ruin our economy and permanently destroy our way of life in the process.

Eskom has become the most hated company in South Africa overnight, an accomplishment not even Telkom could achieve over such a short period of time. The Eskom management team has probably made the biggest mistake of their lives, except for not pushing the ANC government hard enough for money to build spare capacity, by initially trying to lay the blame for the energy crisis in South Africa at the door of the Average Joe in South Africa.
