The long and the short of it is that Sentech is in serious trouble and that something must be
done a.s.a.p. in order to save the broadband signal provider. ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) can’t see
how Sentech can be saved without additional funding. If Government cannot or do not want to provide additional
funding, it must at the least afford private funding with an opportunity to step in and save what’s left of
Sentech. One can only hope that the new administration led by Jacob Zuma will bring an end to Sentech’s funding
woes.
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) hopes Sentech gets the
funding it needs or close down before more of the taxpayers’ money is wasted on projects that are held back by a
lack of funding, and stand the risk to default altogether.
