DataPro to rebrand

The JSE-listed DataPro Group is planning to rebrand as VoxTelecom.
 
Why the name change?
 
Consistent with transformation over last 12 months.
 
According to DataPro it will “reflect the company's intention to position itself as an alternative telecommunications provider” (DataPro wants new name, ITWEB, 6 June 2007).
 
In other words, the name change is consistent with DataPro’s transformation from a traditional ISP to a telecommunications service provider.
 
When will the name change go ahead?
 
28 June.

‘DataPro says the name change, which has been approved by the JSE, will go ahead on 28 June, if its shareholders support the idea’
 
In other words, if shareholders give DataPro the go ahead it will be by the end of this month.
 
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) welcomes the name change since it will clearly show that DataPro has changed in the last couple of months.
