Clear pattern
developing…
There is a
clear pattern developing which indicates that Nyanda is not the man South Africa needs or wants as a minister,
especially as a Communications Minister.
A
Communications Minister should be a person who displays a high level of integrity, common sense, leadership,
expertise and should have a clear understanding of the telecoms sector. There should not even be a need to make
allegations pertaining to fraud and corruption, including fraud and corruption involving state tenders, against
such a person. Even if there’s a need or a criminal intent to do so, ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) feels
there is more than enough room for the accused to take legal action against his accusers. Why is Nyanda not
taking legal action against his accusers? Is he scared that the truth will surface? Why is he not taking legal
action against Mamodupi Mohlala for example? It is no secret that Mohlala, the former Director-General in the
office of the Communications Minister, was recently fired by Nyanda under questionable circumstances. Up to date
Nyanda has failed to provide an explanation for his decision to axe Mohlala, except that trust between them has
broken down to a point of no reconciliation. Recently The Business Day reported that Mohlala had refused to
approve tenders to people with close ties to Nyanda and his company, General Nyanda Security Services (also
known as GNS Risk Advisory Services and Abalozi Security Risk Advisory Services). The very same company under
the name of Abalozi Security Risk Advisory Services that’s now at the center of allegations of fraud and
corruption pertaining to tenders. We’re sorry, but there’s a clear pattern developing here…
In other words, you may fool us once, but you know what, you will never fool
us again!
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) strongly feels that Nyanda should resign and make room for someone who
truly wants to serve public interest.
