Why are the Chinese eyeing Africa and why would they be interested in Telkom Media? ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is no extension of any political party out there but we believe it’s because the Chinese are looking for more physical space for their people (and of course the opportunities that comes with it).
The Chinese population is growing at a phenomenal rate and it is evident that the Chinese government is going to sit with enourmous problems should they fail to address this issue or the issues surrounding it. The ruling Communist Party in China is therefore seriously looking for more physical space because chronic air and water pollution, a result over over population, is fast becoming the norm in most rural and urban areas in China. It is therefore no wonder that one can see increasingly, evidence of Chinese money flowing into South Africa and other African countries.
