How is the above of relevance to ADSL broadband and other broadband alternatives in South Africa?

Indirectly because it shows the almost total lack of control when it comes to enforcing the laws of our country. This is why cable theft can rightly be described as ‘out of control’ especially when losses are on the increase instead of decrease.

Illegal immigration, like cable theft, is busy ruining our way of life and it has to stop. Many of us, ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) included, like to place all the blame on Telkom when it comes to shoddy service delivery in terms of telecoms but we have to take the impact of cable theft also into consideration. Cable theft is not only helping to ruin service delivery but also helps to shed jobs, break up families, etc.

In fact, the indirect cost of cable theft on our economy is very high. It influences the prices that we are paying for telecoms in South Africa, ADSL Broadband included.
