'Black hole' for sale ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 1 March 2009 One can assume that Cell C is for sale if one considers the fact that Cell C’s CEO, Jeffrey Hedberg, wants Telkom to buy the company with its ‘black hole’ of debt and numerous of other problems.
Even us don’t hate Telkom that much… ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is no great Telkom lover or Telkom supporter for that matter, but even us don’t hate or dislike Telkom enough to see it buying a ‘poison pill’ in the form of Cell C. A ‘black hole’ of debt is the last thing you want to throw shareholders’ money at, especially during these tough economic times. It is no secret that it’s not only difficult to get finance nowadays, but that its very expensive to say the least. |
