Another Telkom
executive resigns
ADSL
South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 14 March
2007
Telkom’s Chief
Technical Officer (CTO), Thami Msimango, is the second
Telkom executive member to resign, stating the same
reason for his resignation as executive member Wally
Beelders who resigned only a week before
him.
Is something up at
Telkom?
Well, it’s difficult to say
because we will have to speculate to give a straight answer to
that one.
It seems funny though that two
executive members have resigned only a week apart from
each other stating the same reasons for their resignation,
namely: Seeking greener fields within the ICT
sector... and we thought
the fields are already pretty green at a monopoly such as
Telkom!
Anyway,
the truth has the tendency
to bubble to the surface…
Beelders, Telkom's former Chief Sales and
Marketing Officer, will soon take up a position at
Vodacom. Dot
Field of Vodacom confirmed "...that
Wally will be joining Vodacom and will be involved mainly in
broadening our broadband and VPN
capabilities" (Vodacom snaps up Beelders, McLeod, 14
March 2007).
ADSL South Africa (Broadband
South Africa) wishes them the best of luck in their future
endeavours.
