In other words, despite all the accusations, Altech managed to force MTN into making a promise, which in essence means MTN will not deploy Verizon SA as an anti-competitive vehicle.

We all know that a promise can be broken, but given MTN’s financial and legal muscle, it was wise of Altech not to proceed after MTN made the above-mentioned promise. It is now up to us, the Average Joes, to make sure MTN keeps that promise. If not, we must boycott MTN by refusing to do business with them.
