ADSL price cuts welcomed

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 10 August 2009

It is great to see that at least some ADSL price cuts are starting to filter through despite the kicks of major telecoms players against substantial ADSL price cuts in the foreseeable future.

ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) welcomes the fact that Vox Telecom, WirelessG, and believe it or not, clothing retailer Edgars, have recently lowered the cost of ADSL to the consumer in some form or another. They are among the few service providers that have chosen to lower the cost of ADSL bandwidth, instead of helping to maintain a telecoms regime that are out to milk us, the average Joes, dry.

Vox Telecom

Vox Telepreneur, a division of Vox Telecom, recently lowered the cost of shaped ADSL to R50 per GB with a flexi-cap, which enables ADSL users to set their own monthly caps, paying only for the bandwidth they use. ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) has welcomed this despite past and present sins of Vox Telecom directors, especially those who damaged Vox’s reputation by placing high-risk bets on single stock futures and lost millions in the Dealstream debacle.
