What do I need to sign
up?
You need to have
an active FNB account, need to be registered for FNB’s inContact
services and need to have
an ADSL Broadband enabled
line.
Any serious
drawbacks?
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South
Africa) can’t think of any serious drawbacks except maybe for the fact that the telephone
exchange in your area needs to support ADSL Broadband. This means
that most FNB account holders who live in the rural areas won’t be able to access the Internet by making use of
FNB Connect’s Connecti-FUEL
ADSL service. We predict however, that FNB is going to expand their Internet access offerings in the future by
deploying alternative broadband technologies such as WiMAX, WiFi, et cetera.
ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) is happy to see that FNB
has the courage to test the telecoms waters despite ABSA’s failure to succeed in the same arena. We believe
FNB’s efforts in this regard will be highly successful because of their strong focus on affordability and other
benefits.
