The ADSL Pie: Changes in size and composition ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa), 22 February 2009 The ADSL Broadband pie, although a relatively small part of the broadband Internet user base in South Africa, has shown consistent growth and is continuing to make inroads in the broadband market.
500 000 plus ADSL subscribers… It is no secret that the Internet user base has grown 12.5% to more or less 4.5 million users in South Africa last year, but maybe more importantly, the number of ADSL subscribers have passed the half million mark and is expected to continue to grow this year. This is primarily because a variety of ADSL Broadband Packages (One Price ADSL Broadband, Uncapped ADSL Broadband, Prepaid ADSL Broadband, Local Only ADSL Broadband, etc.) are available to the Average Joes in South Africa. |
