The ADSL Broadband packages
listed in 'The Broadband Bible' are not ADSL Broadband Transmission
Material specific, but it's not really an important aspect to consider when getting ADSL
Broadband.
We believe ADSL Broadband, especially Fiber based ADSL
Broadband or ADSL Broadband over optical fiber, provides the best means of
accessing the Internet to do online gaming. Wireless Internet Access
Services such as 3G, WiMAX, et cetera just don't offer the same quality and
speed.
We believe ADSL Broadband is best
for gaming because:
-
High-speed - ADSL Broadband carries information at greater speeds than
wireless or mobile Internet access services.
-
Low latency - ADSL Broadband offers low latency. In terms of online
gaming, it means that your action hero doesn’t have to walk like a duck or as slow as a
tortoise, especially when you’re stuck in a fierce battle.
Fiber based ADSL
Broadband offerings which are uncapped and unshaped are the best offerings to
go for if you want to do online gaming.
Where are the Broadband Internet Service review
lists?
Many
broadband Internet service review lists, including those once featured on the ADSL South Africa (Broadband South
Africa) website, simply do not get updated that often because of the man hours that need to go into it. In many
instances it is not about being lazy, but about the fact that most sites offering such a service simply do not have
enough resources to do it properly. It is also no secret that the cost of ADSL Broadband to the consumer has come
down considerable since the launch of the SEACOM undersea cable system, and this cost is expecting to
decline further as other undersea cable systems go online. This makes frequent updates
essential.
Broadband
Internet service comparisons have always formed part of the ADSL South Africa (Broadband South Africa) website, but
given the above, we took a conscience decision to remove our own lists and to shift our focus to other important issues such as bandwidth theft, Carrier Pre-Selection, Interconnection Rates, Local Loop Unbundling (LLU or LLUB),
consumer activism, etc. This doesn't mean
that we don't offer our fellow Average Joes access to broadband Internet service comparisons, it just means
that we believe 'The Broadband Bible' has what it takes to ensure much needed
quality.
No outdated
broadband Internet service comparison has ever helped anyone. It only helps to create confusion by giving a wrong
picture of what's actually going on in the market.
